A sand bar six hundred metres long between Baltra and North Seymour, one of the largest sea lion colonies in the archipelago on top of it, and lava gulls picking along the tideline: Mosquera is a beach and nothing else, with no trail and no inland. Mosquera is a short stop, often an hour, and it is usually slotted in on the way to or from Baltra airport. There is no shade and no path. If a full landing matters to you, North Seymour across the channel is the more substantial call.
